The best rude birthday card for your lover is something that makes them giggle and feel special at the same time. It should be funny, slightly shocking, and sweet.
It must also look good; if it’s a rubbish card, it’ll be easy to ignore and will quickly end up in the bin.
Most importantly though, it should be something they’d like. This will vary from person to person so you need to have a think about what they’d like. The best way to do this is to imagine being them and receiving the card you’re thinking of buying, then try to notice how you feel about it.
If you think they’ll be delighted with it then buy it!
You can also ask their friends for advice, but make sure you choose someone who isn’t going to tell them what you’re planning!

To help you focus on this, think about whether there’s something in particular that’d be worth making fun of. Is there some aspect of their personality or behaviour that stands out as being different from most people?
Maybe it’s that they are unusually tidy or disorganised, or maybe there’s something odd about their appearance.
If there is something unusual about them then again, imagine being in their position and receiving a card which makes fun of that thing. Would you find it funny and charming? Or would you feel insulted?
If you’re not sure then try having a chat with them about something else where someone is being made fun of for some reason. Maybe talk about one of their friends or colleagues who has a weird haircut or something like that and see what your partner says.
If they speak harshly about them then maybe don’t buy anything too offensive because they might not like it!
