Overview
It's usually best to give your sister a funny candle. The Have A Nice Poo candle is a good choice, but of course it depends on her personality, as well as yours and the relationship you have with her.
For example it's not a good idea if she hates toilet humour, or if you want her to take the gift seriously.
Do you want to give her a funny or a serious gift?
This is an important question. If you want to give her something that will make her laugh, then have a look at our candles, or maybe the greeting cards.
If she likes scented candles, then maybe one of those would be ideal. I know this sounds like a simple and obvious thing to say, but it really depends on what sort of person she is. For example, if she's someone who likes to relax in the bath with scented candles and music, then something like this would work well.
But if she doesn't do that sort of thing (like me) then it's probably not such a good idea.
Is it OK to make fun of her?
If so then you have plenty more options! If you do want to make fun of her, then what sort of things could you tease her about? Here are some ideas:
- Her appearance: maybe she's ugly (like me), or has big ears (like me), or has weird hair (like me), or has some other weird physical characteristic that makes her look like an alien walrus-creature from another planet where everything looks like a dog poo. Or maybe not quite that bad. Or maybe it's just something about the way she dresses? Come on - I'm sure there's something silly about the way she looks!
- The things she says: does she talk too much? Or too little? Or does she say stupid things? Does she say 'sort of' all the time? Or 'do you know what I mean?', even when it doesn't make sense?
- The things she does: does she walk funny? Does she laugh in an annoying way? Does she always act like she's really clever but actually isn't?
- The way she smells: does she smell nice? Does she smell bad? Or is there something else weird about the way she smells?
I hope that's helped you think about what sort of person your sister is and therefore what sort of gift would suit her best. If you think a scented candle is a good idea, then have a look at our selection using the link above.
If you want to give her serious candle
If you've decided that it's best not to make fun of her and get something nice instead, then we do have plenty of choices. I'm writing this in October so we're getting ready for Christmas at the moment so I guess you'd want one that's suitable as a Christmas present. If so I'd recommend either our You Smell Lovely one or the Merry Christmas one. They're both popular at the moment and are both available with different scents. This article isn't supposed to be about which scent though, so I'll leave that up to you.
I hope this has helped! If you're still not sure feel free to get in touch - we're always happy to offer advice!
